The White Horse is a delightful old pub in Hatching Green on the outskirts of Harpenden.  Five minutes from the bustling centre of town on the one hand & Junction 9 of the teeming M1 on the other, the pub sits in a lovely country setting, surrounded by a large leafy garden & terrace.   

The bar is classically warm & cosy, with an old parquet floor & low beams hung with antique copper jugs, while the dining room is light & fresh, its French windows opening out onto the sunny terrace beyond.  In our charming private dining room, up a winding stair in the oldest part of the pub, we can comfortably host a dinner party for twelve.

We serve high quality fresh food throughout the day, along with well-kept real ales & an eclectic range of thoughtfully-chosen wines, all at sensible prices.  Whether you drop in for morning coffee, lunch, a quick bite or a celebration dinner, we'll be happy to lay on whatever good things you call for.
