Exclusive sneak peek at our Autumn menu
Our sister pubs aren’t unveiling their new Autumn menu until the end of this week but lucky guests at The White Horse got a sneak peek at some of the new dishes a week earlier than anyone else. We were just too excited to keep it a secret for another week.
The night was introduced by our General Manager Adam and Chef Laurie, and consisted of five tasting courses each complimented with a carefully selected wine.
The three starters each had their own take on what Autumn has to offer. Blackberries, wild mushrooms and celeriac, paired with flavoursome dressings and it would be too hard to pick a favourite…
Our roast loin of venison makes the perfect Autumnal; hearty without not being too heavy.
There is always room for pudding of course, and we couldn’t resist our Valrhona white chocolate cheesecake. Intense and smooth without too much richness, and The Hazelnut Brittle was to die for!
And like five courses wasn’t enough, the team spoilt us with five wines too. Three whites got us started; a lively and fruity Riesling, a rich white from Tuscany and a light and tangy white from the Midi. For the venison it was Nero d’Avola, our wine gurus personal fave, pure luscious and juicy, before pairing pud with our Moscatel.
Feeling like you missed out? Don’t worry our new menu is available from Wednesday! We can’t wait for you to try it!
